rsInternalError Reporting Server error !

Salam,

I get this error, if any one can help me

An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more details. (rsInternalError) Get For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

But I could solve the problem by restarting the IIS , so each time this message appear I restart the IIS and the ReportServer's will work but after some time the problem again will appear . I think the problem with cache in IIS because the session still opened and not closed so how I can solve this

Hi,

Try to set up the "Recycle worker process (in minutes)" to shorter frequency in the report server application pool.

Also, you will be able to find detaild information about the service health in the log files at "Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.n\Reporting Services\LogFiles" folder.

Regards,

Janos

Thanks,

I set up the "Recycle worker process (in minutes)" to 60 minutes and I will see .

and this is the log file for today

rsInternalError

I get this error message while deploying report:
An internal error occurred on the report server.
See the error log for more details. (rsInternalError)
Invalid text, ntext, or image pointer value
0xFDFF7F5F000000000303000001000200.
The statement has been terminated.
This happens to all reports I am trying to deploy either through VS.NET or
froom rds file
How do I resolve it?
Thanks,
-StanHI,
Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm getting the same message. Just
started during my last attempt to deploy.
thanks

RS.exe

I have a web based application that allows users to apply for
employment via the web. Once the appllcaition is submitted I want to
send the details to HR via email using SSRS 2005.
I'm not very familiar with rs.exe utility which is the tool I think I
need to use.
I would appreciate it if anyone has done something like this before
and can point me in the right direction it would be greatly
appreciated.On Sep 14, 4:51 pm, NC3 <ncolem...@.yahoo.com> wrote:

One alternative is to design an ASP.NET application that sends emails
and then attach a URL to the email that basically allows the user to
export the report to a standard format (i.e., PDF). An example of a
URL to send in an email is as follows:
http://ServerA/reportserver?/ExampleReportFolderName/ExampleReportName&rs:Command=Render&ParameterName=xxxxx&rs:Format=PDF
In this example, the format is as follows:
http://<ServerName>/reportserver?/<Directory>/<ReportName>&rs:Command=Render&<ParameterName>=<ParameterValue>&rs:Format=<PDF/CSV/XML/Excel/MHTML>
Of course, if you have multiple parameters you would include extra '&'
symbols and parameter values; and, you could change the export format.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response...
One important detail I did not mention is we have security concerns
sending plain text emails from the Internet. I want to send the email
after the DB is updated so the email is secure in transmission.|||On Sep 17, 2:54 pm, NC3 <ncolem...@.yahoo.com> wrote:

Have you considered an SSL certificate? This should secure the
download part of the process. Hope this helps.

Will having an SSL in place secure an email from an ASP.NET
application in transit? That's our true concern...securing the data in
transit.

For the email itself, I'm not completely sure; however, an SSL
certificate will improve security at the website level. In terms of
the exported report, you might want to look into some 3rd party PGP/
Encryption tools. There are a couple available that are open source
and some that aren't. This option should provide protection in
transit. Hope this helps.

RS inserts improper page breaks in report

Hi guys,
I try to find for an answer for this problem, but to no available, it drives
me crazy now.
I am getting a page break on each details row in a table. The table has 3
headers, one is a subreport, and a details row which contains a subreport;
there is no footers. The subreport in the details row contains another
subreport that has a table with 1 header and 1 details row, each has a
subreport. It's like so 3 levels deep.
My problem occurs in the first table, the subreport in the details line is
always generated on a new line. I check all the option with BreakPageAt End
and such, but everything is unchecked.
Any ideas.
Thanks!
RobertDo you have any grouping going on in the table? If so check the
grouping properties and see if you any of the 'page break' before or
after options set...
Cheers,
Ben|||There is the default group that is created but nothing is group on and both
'page break at start' and 'page break at bottom' are unchecked.
I don't know if it is relevant, but the page break only occurs when the
report is in 'print layout' mode.
Thanks!
Robert

calculates all the rows in all my nested subreports, and if the number of
rows is bigger than the space left on the page, it assumes a break is needed.
Ouch.
Anybody else encoutered that?|||Yes we have this behaviour all the time and we raised a support incident with
Microsoft. They didn't want to know - as far as they are concerned it is
working as designed. They told us there is an implicit keeptogether on
anything within list but that using tables should be ok. Are you using lists
anywhere in your sub-reports?

Yeah tell me about it.
Did you find a hack for it?
And no, i'm not using lists at all, I use tables though.
