Rsetarting SQL server frequently

Hello All,
I have to restart SQL Server 2000 every week or it hangs
the website made in ASP. Restarting fixes the problem.
Does anyone have an idea, why it happens?
Thanks,

RS Frequently Hangs

I was hoping the SP2 would fix this problem but Reporting Services
continues to lock up such that I can minimize/maximize it but if I place the
curser anywhere in the body of the app I get an hour glass. Also if I open
Windows Task Manager devenv.exe has 98% CPU time.
I get no errors or events and the app seems partially alive as if it were
waiting for a an input but there is no open dialogue box.
I try to remember to save my work but sometime I get so
absorbed that I forget and end up losing a lot of effort.
I anyone else running into this?I very seldom have that happen but others have posted about an issue that
seems to be a problem with the dataset design. If you are retrieving large
amounts of data in the development environment that can cause problems (as I
said I haven't seen this but I have seen reports of this happening). If you
are doing this then try being sure to only return a smaller amount of data
during development. Also, when switching between data tab and layout, RS
frequently does not realize that you have made a change. I alway hit save
all every time I switch between data and layout.

I found that I when select the application with the mouse and then
hit Alt-F4 to close, I get the following message
[Microsoft Development Environement cannot shut down
becasue a modal dialogue is active. Close the active dialogue and try again]
Problem is the dialogue is not shown so it cannot be closed.|||Thanks Bruce
So it sounds like it is the same dialgoue as the one you
get from Enteprise Manager where it asks if you want to
keep the open result-set because it is using reources on
the server-y/n ?
I had a second, parameter data data set that had run,
sitting out of view from the main data set. That was
prolly it. Thanks!|||Bruce
Can you tell me how to clear the result set when in the generic query
designer? I can't find a menu, speed button, right-click option or
KB shortcut to d this.
Thanks|||Sorry, I don't know.
