RS2005 on SQL Server 2000 backend database

We are currently thinking about installing Reporting Services 2005 on a SQL
Server 2000 database box and allow the RS2005 instance use a SQL Server 2000
database. Are there any reasons on why we shouldn't do this?No problem whatsoever. Fully supported (I ran this way for months). Note,
you do need a SQL Server 2005 license.

I need a clarification for this.. he needs one SQL 2000 license and one
SQL 2005 license

Hi David,
As Bruce has mentioned, you can use both SQL Server 2000 and SQL server
2005 database as your SSRS 2005's backend database storage, this won't
affect the functionality of Reporting service since the backend database
only stores some data and settings of the Reporting service, all the
built-in components are still referenced from the SSRS 2005's installation.
