Hi,
As per my reading, using RS2005 with backend database as SQL 2000 is
possible.
Can anyone tell me whether RS2005 connect to SQL 2000 database on same same
machine. i.e. in short can RS2005 reside with SQL 2000?
Which edition of RS 2005 support backend as SQL2000?
TIA,
TanmayaTwo different things going on here. One is reporting off of data in 2000,
the other is using 2000 as the metadata/object store for RS 2005.
There is no problem reporting off of data in 2000, 2005, Sybase, Oracle,
etc. RS 2005 can use either SQL Server 2000 or 2005 as its metadata/object
store as long as you have a SQL Server 2005 license. In essence, whatever
box has RS 2005 installed on it need SQL 2005 server license.
