Hi All:
I recently had to rebuild a server that had a functioning version of RS
running on it because we ran out of space on our C Drive. We rebuilt the
server and installed RS on it and point the virtual directories to the proper
locations.
When I try to browse the site from within IIS, I get an ASP page error
indicating a problem on line 16.
Here is the body of the message.
Line 14: <compilation defaultLanguage="c#" debug="true"/>
Line 15: <customErrors mode="Off"/>
Line 16: <authentication mode="Windows"/>
Line 17: <identity impersonate="true"/>
Line 18: <trace enabled="false" requestLimit="10" pageOutput="false"
traceMode="SortByTime" localOnly="true"/>
It looks like there is some type of permissions issue. I checked the
permissions on the website, the virtual directories and the RS directories
and they all seem ok.
Our path to the RS home page is //IPADDress of server/reports.
If anyone can shed some light on this issue, I'd appreciate it.Hi Brennan,
Under these circumstances the first thing that we did is as below:
1. Bring up the Reporting Services Configuration Window
2. Make sure that web server, virtual directory setup, windows service
setup, database and initialization show Green.
2. Then on IIS make sure that Report Server is using Framework 2.0
3. Delete the cache files from the Temporary files under
WinNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\2.0
Try again to access Reports
Hope that helps

Programs->Microsoft SQL Server 2005->Configuration Tools, you can see
Reporting Services Configuration

I just looked it up on Google and realizedd you were referrring to 2005.
I'm on 2000. Any way to troubleshoot this from a 2000 perspective?
Thanks
