rsAccessDenied for authorised user.

Hi, as many people in this group, I have the problem that some users
cannot access the report we designed. They receive the message:
The permissions granted to user '{domain}\{userID}' are insufficient
for performing
this operation. (rsAccessDenied)
The strange thing here is that I granted access to a group (Domain
Users) which holds all the users of this domain. I tested with 3 users
who all could access the report. Of course I thought that if these
users could access the report, other users should be able to access the
report too. But, when I tested with a fourth user I got the error as
stated above. I checked the rights for the group on the folders and
reports, but they are ok. So what am I misssing here?
I also tried to sign individual rights to the userId, but no luck
either. Then I tried to use an other userId too (fith userid for the
test) , same result, no access. So in my group "Domain Users" , which
holds all the users of the domain. Three users can access the report
and so far two can not. I didn't test with other accounts except for
these 5, that should be enough, don't you think?
We do not use "Anonymous Access" anywhere.
The server is Standard 2003

Reporting Services 2000
Any help would be appriciatedOk, found out what the problem was. I didn't set the right permissions
on the top-level. So, first I had to set de security permissions in RS
on te "root"-folder, then on the subfolders and so on to the reports.
This solved my problemsql

RS Web parts: Change web part title?

Maybe I should have asked in one of the SharePoint groups, but maybe someone
in this group knows what's wrong. Anyway, in a SharePoint Portal server 2003
portal, I've created a page with the Reporting services web parts. As the
company in question is Norwegian, I want to change the title of the webparts
from Report Explorer and Report Viewer to something in Norwegian. I go to
"Change web part", change the name in the Title text box, click OK. It
changes to the new title, but when I refresh the page, it's back to "Report
Explorer". All other settings are stored, like height and width of the web
part, but not the title. I've had this problem in a different cutomer's
portal too.
Any suggestions?

RS reserving space onpage for hidden data

I have a report that has detail and a group. I have it set to hide the detail
and toggle on the group.
When the report first renders, I get the six groups spread over 3 pages.
That is 2 lines per page. When I toggle the hidden data, the result still
only takes up 3 pages.
How can I get the groups to appear on one page and have the report expand as
needed?Set the row hight, for the hidden detail, to zero.
There will still be some empty space but I find it acceptable

RS Reports Application

Hello,
I am finally done installing the RS and started creating reports.
Thanks to many people in this group, i read a lot of info to figure
out stuff.
I have a new problem now.
My client doesnt not want a Web interface like what the RS provides.
infact they dont want anything to do with browser(paranoid folks)
They want some kind of installable application/dll which will have
forms in it take the inputs and send those to the RS and get the
reports in that application. May sound wierd but thats what they want.
Has anyone every done anything like that ? if yes can you please give
me some ideas how to go about it ?
Some kind of VB or C# app or sthg like that ?

BofoNot sure if you will be able to wait or not, but Sql 2005 will contain
report controls that do just that. You can just drop the control on your C#
form and away you go. If you can't wait for that you will want to look into
using the emf renderer to get pages that you can then draw to the screen.
Of course doing it this way will not get you any interactivity in the
reports.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for , just use the report
viewer control that should be in your samples application(.C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Reporting
Services\Samples\Applications\ReportViewer) Just open the solution vb or C#
and then build the project/sln and then and then add it to your toolbox by
locating the reportviewer dll from your bin folder of the report viewer
application.
The RV control takes report path and the report server url with few other
params/properties you can define.
