RS2005 email delivery problem

We started using RS 2005 web farm a month ago. Since then we have
problem delivering reports trough email. When using shared
subscription with several reports some reports are sent and some are
not.
Errors displayed by various parts of system are below:
Subscription Last Status text:
The delivery extension for this subscription could not be loaded.
Windows Application event log:
Report Server (MSSQLSERVER) cannot load the Report Server
DocumentLibrary
extension.
At first we thought that problem is our postfix mail server so we
transferred from directly sending mail to sending mail to local SMTP
which then sends mail to postfix. One problem was a connection
timeout. It seems that connection with mail server is opened at the
same time the shared schedule execution has started. With SMTP service
standard time-out of 10 minutes or so reports lasting more than that
have no chance to be sent. So my solution was installing local SMTP
Service from windows components setup and setting its timeout to
timeout needed by our reports. But the problem didn't go away. I was
hoping that unsent mail will be in badmail SMTP folder or that I will
find it in drop folder as unsent mail. Strange thing is that all the
folders are empty. There is no bad mail. My SRS can't send mail to my
local SMTP! When shared subscription with several reports is fired
connection to local SMTP is created. I can see it in Current Sessions.
If subscription is shared I suppose that reports, belonging to shared
subscription, are being executed one by one and sent to SMTP server as
they are finished. Time out of my SMTP is 180 minutes. All the reports
executed one by one take about 30 minutes so I guess now time out is
not a problem. I think that there are 2 possible reasons:
1. Opened connection to SMTP somehow brakes between two reports being
sent and can't be reestablished
2. SRS successfully execute some reports and send them to SMTP and
when next report is finished and have to be sent, SRS can't load DLL
needed to send mail.
Every suggestion will be appreciated!Any ideas?

When we have installed the Reporting Services, it leaves an error to us in
event to viewer. This it is the error:
Schedule and delivery processor
Error id event 113
somebody has had this problem?

RS and Subscription Mail Delivery

Hi Guy,
During installation of Reporting Services we didn't completed SMTP info.
Up to now thos info are really important for subsription delivery via mail.
I found an article in Technet describing which parameter configure in
RSWebApplication.config file to activate RS SMTP Service.
The config file is an XML format and i think i wrote it wrong because, even
if i restarted everything i don't have availability of mail delivery in
subscription configuration.
Someone could help me?
Can you show me an example of your config file if you correctly setted SMTP
info during setup?

StefanoHere is a working configuration (done after the install but that doesn't
matter). Note that I have the IP address of the server hardcoded. You should
not have to do this, you should be able to use the name. Note that most of
configurations are left blank. The IP address is the IP address of a SMTP
server that we have.

instance. I have <Delivery> and you have <DeliveryUI>
When I went in and manually modified entries for email I did not have to add
any lines, I just edited lines that were there.
Do you have your original file?

I've done the settings and everything looks good except when you try to
confirm subscription or change the schedule i get an error telling that the
value for the field StartDateTime is not valid for this field. It's
impposible to convert string value in the requested type.
Can you help me again?

subscription via web services. My suggestion is to first do it from Report
Manager to make sure everything is setup correctly. If this is via web
services then I can't help you, no experience with them.

to be a report parameter problem. Is the report parameter of date data type
(instead of string)

If can help in your problem solving, before inserting the line to activate
e-mail delivey, cliccking on scheduling to have a schedule for save the
report on disk, scheduling was working perfectly!

RS 2005 Web Parts

I am using the SQL 2005 Reporting Services web parts within a WSS site.
SQLRS uses IIS virtual smtp server for delivery which works fine.
Using the report explorer web part, when I setup a subscription, the
value in the To: field defaults to the uneditable <username> rather
than a full mail address (username@.somewhere.com).
Is there a way to change this behavior such that the To: field displays
the full maill address instead?
Thanks!You can't make the UI show the host name, but you can make the server apply
a host name if one is not present. In the RSReportServer.config file, in
the element DefaultHostName, set your hostname and all address which do not
have a host name will get the value in this field.
