RS2005 ships with a version of visual studio 2005 for report development.
What if I have visual studio 2005 on my local machine. How can I add the
rs2005 shell locally? Are they any license issues?
ThanksI found that if I install VS 2005 after the report designer I lost the
report designer. My suggestion is to first install VS 2005. Then using the
setup for SQL Server 2005 install the Reporting Services client tools (i.e.
the report designer). This will cause the designer to be installed and
integrated with the VS that you already have installed.

After installing sql, the report projects are right there in VS and work
well. Damn fine work on this RS stuff - hat off to MS.
